Peregrine Falcon - Our Namesake!

Peregrine Falcon

Falco peregrinus
Nickname: Duck Hawk

The fastest bird in the world, the Peregrine Falcon is able to reach speeds in excess of 200MPH - while diving for its prey of ducks, pigeons and other birds in flight.

Peregrine means wanderer or migrator - this falcon is found on all continents except Antarctica. Having suffered the same fate as our national emblem –the Bald Eagle –through the use of DDT, it was taken off the 'endangered' list on August 25, 1999. This was accomplished through programs such as the one that released a pair in Center City Philadelphia (PA), Harrisburg (PA) and other cities throughout the U.S.

In the ancient art of falconry, the Peregrine was the bird of prey to be used only by kings, queens and other nobility.

So it's only fitting that this bird of prey represent our company and our commitment to you.
